Vent i Mar boat located the remains of the third century BC amphora

The boat of Giner Valero family, Vent i Mar, Has found the body of a Roman republican amphora, despite having no neck or handle, by the characteristics of ceramics and body shape, it belongs to a Greco-Roman amphora. Everything seems to indicate that the remains come from a functional piece that was used for the transporting wine from warehouses in the territories of southern Italy.

The amphora dating from second century o III BC, is in the process of desalination and will later be cataloged and classified to offer it to all viewers Archaeological Museum of Dénia.
