The Marina Alta agrees on common benefits through Pacte'MA to improve employment throughout the territory

November 17 from 2023 - 12: 03

Pacte'MA was born in 2007 by the hand of CREAMA with the aim of improving employment and local development in the Marina Alta through planning and execution of strategies that put the common benefit first.

In this agreement, the following territorial projects were developed, given the different areas that surround the region and, consequently, the different needs of each area: coastal, intermediate and inland areas.

The project Punt Nàutic It focuses on the recovery of the fishing sector, which has a serious problem of generational change and Pacte'MA aims to promote the recreational nautical sector. Passport Marina Alta: works for a more sustainable and supportive tourism model that links the coast with the interior of the region.

Furthermore, the Agricultural Xarxa aims to revitalize the agricultural sector through innovation, as well as two other projects that feed the rest, including the Observatori Marina Alta, which updates and groups on a website more than 300 statistical indicators at the municipal level, whose towns are located in the region.

La Alta Marina Strategy is in charge, through a participatory methodology, of drawing up and updating a roadmap of the areas, both employment and local development, taking into account the real needs of the territory.

In this sense, territorial intelligence is applied, that is, the opinion of the people and different local action groups of territory, with the objective of defining an action plan and being able to respond to the needs perceived by all actors in the region.

All of these projects have a regional focus, both from the territorial point of view, as well as at the level of resources: the coast complements the interior and vice versa, given that a productive sector cannot evolve alone.

Furthermore, different initiatives are being promoted from this Pact in order to establish a sustainable economic system at a social and environmental level, carrying out awareness-raising actions among citizens about the importance of supporting sustainable economic activities.

In the same way, it should be noted that the Pact also covers the creation and dissemination of different resources aimed at SMEs, to help and guide them in the process of transforming the activity towards a sustainable model with the environment in which they operate.

In addition, from CREAMA actions are also promoted, workshops and training courses that are requested and taught in accordance with the strategic lines that are agreed upon by the Pact.

An example of this are the regional employment workshops with training specialties aimed at obtaining professionalism certificates that cover the needs detected in the diagnosis and strategy, as well as training courses related to digital skills, the agricultural sector or commerce.

On the CREAMA website you can consult all the information, as well as the different initiatives they carry out to improve the municipal territorial network.
