16 July 2021 - 10: 44

The end of the month is approaching, the period in which many of us arrive more drowned but with optimism knowing that the income from the payroll is just around the corner. Now imagine that corner you do not know where it is or when it will arrive with your payroll. Now imagine that it is already the second month with this perspective, without knowing when you will enter the payment for your work and dedication.

That is the situation of Aprosdeco, which Since November, he has been carrying out bills pending payment from the Conselleria de Inclusió for his work at the head of the La Xara Occupational and Day Center. In total, more than 650.000 euros that they have not received despite keeping the center open. And not without suffering, because the workers affirm that they have to count down to the pages and that soon they will not even be able to buy hydroalcoholic gel.

Despite the fact that the Ministry promises them an early entry, always next week, they are still in the same situation, which has prevented them from paying the salaries of the more than 30 workers at the center in June, which seems to be repeated this July.

Regional solidarity

Many town councils in the region, including that of Dénia, have already announced motions in their plenary sessions to demand that the Ministry assume its debt with Aprosdeco.

And not only from the local administrations, many residents and personalities rooted in the region are showing their support for the association, adding to their claims. It is the case of the chef Quique Dacosta, which has campaigned on its social networks in recent days to make the situation of the center visible.

Similarly, the three Michelin stars came to La Xara to visit Aprosdeco workers and users to better understand their situation.
