Today, within the framework of an initiative to highlight and celebrate the achievements of women in the field of science, the CEIP Les Vessanes de Dénia has interviewed three prominent local scientists. The interview, which took place at the school facilities, offered a unique opportunity to learn more about the professional trajectories and motivations that have driven these women to excel in their respective disciplines.

Among those interviewed were Marta Gasco, computer engineer and current Councilor for Modernization at the Dénia City Council; Aina Fornés, biochemist and specialist in biomedical sciences, also recognized for her achievements as an athlete at the national level; and Laura Romany, certified pharmacist and doctor in assisted reproductive biotechnology, who currently works as an embryologist at the Valencian Infertility Institute (IVI).

During the session, the students had the opportunity to ask various questions about the vocation and dedication of these scientists, as well as learn first-hand about their experiences in the field of research and applied science. The interview not only allowed students to delve into the world of science from a practical perspective, but also served as inspiration for those who dream of pursuing similar careers in the future.

The importance of highlighting gender diversity in the scientific field and the crucial role that women play in research was one of the recurring themes during the interview. These scientists, with their stories of improvement and achievements, not only challenge stereotypes, but also pave the way for future generations of women interested in science.

In short, the interview with these prominent local scientists not only served to celebrate their achievements, but also to promote gender equality and promote diversity in the field of science. The exchange of experiences and perspectives between scientists and students underscores the importance of events like this in building a more inclusive and collaborative scientific community.
