There is already a date for the party to step on the streets of Dénia again

The FEMMICC has announced this week the programming of the Moors and Christians Mig Any, which will mean the long-awaited return of the party to the streets of Dénia. Interestingly, it is the last big celebration that took place before the pandemic became a reality, and now it will be the first to bring the party atmosphere back to the city.

The Mig Any 2022 will take place between February 12 and 26, starting with the drawing contest that, as a novelty, the exhibition of the participants will premiere in the Mercat Municipal, in order to make it more visible. The winners will also have a sculpture of the festive Rafa Cheli as a trophy. The prizes will be delivered on February 19.

Now, the Mig Any weekend will be the last of the month, starting on February 25 with the mass in memory of the deceased festeros, in the church of Sant Miquel, and the Nit de Filaes in Torrecremada, where the usual tent.

Saturday February 26th will be the day the party returns to the streets. At noon, at 12:00, the rows will tour the center of Dénia with their best clothes in the official entrance. It will start at La Vía street and end at the port, at the Red Cross, after passing through Diana and Marqués de Campo streets. At 19:00 the tour will be repeated, but this time with the informal entrance.

Although it will not be possible to apply all the innovations that were intended, without a doubt the simple return of the Mig Any is already a great cause for celebration, and even more so after hearing this week the news of the declaration of the Moors and Christians of Dénia as a Festival of Autonomous Tourist Interest.
