Citizens intends to ask a fee for using port infrastructure of the city

03 June 2016 - 08: 00

Following the news known this week that Dénia port wants to charge a fee for enabling a dog beach, the Citizens group, promoter of this petition, has shown its outrage. That is why he will present a motion to the next plenary session in June to demand the same from the autonomous entity.

Councilwoman Mari Martínez He explained that if Ports demands a fee for using a space whose maintenance depends on the council, it is only fair that they pay a fee for the use made of Dénia streets leading to the port.

According states, "The payment of this fee would be justified by the cost that the Dianense council incurs in maintaining Miguel Hernández Avenue and other streets through which all the traffic that goes from the peninsula to the Balearic Islands circulates". Citizens remember "It must be taken into account that this traffic is very important and enormously higher than the traffic that the residents of Dénia themselves do through these streets".
