Meet the 8 rows of the Christian side of the Moors and Christians of Dénia

The Christian side of the holidays Moors and Christians Dénia, which is celebrated in honor of Sant Roc from August 13 to 16, is made up of eight rows, seven for men and one for women. This side is made up of exactly half the rows of the FEMMICC (Federation of Moors and Christians of Dénia), and they participate in the one considered since 2022 as a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest.

Filà Almogàvers

The pioneers in introducing women at the party were, in the year 1997, the components Filà Almogàvers. Part of the Christian side and is currently made up of more than twenty women who wear their blue suits with embroidered coat and have a second kit, using a brown djellaba sometimes.

Filà Cavallers del Me'n Fot

Formed in the 1981 year, the filà Cavallers del Me'n Fot has kept its personality. Currently they wear a dark blue djellaba with a large red cross on their chest or, failing that, the representative shield of the filà.

Filà Creuats

La filà Creuats It is one of the younger members of the festival of Moors and Christians in Denia. It was created in the year 2005 and components chilabas blue and purple dress.

Filà Deniers

La Filà Deniers, Created in 1980, it was one of the founders of the Moors and Christians in Denia.

Filà Guerrers Hospitalaris

In the 2007 year a group of friends took the final step to create a new row that was part of the Christian side of the Moors and Christians in Denia: the filà Guerrers Hospitalaris.

Filà Marins Corsaris

In September of the year 2001, a group of closely linked to the Moors and Christians in Dénia friends were encouraged to form the first row of pirate parties: the filà Marins CorsarisBelonging to the Christian side.

Filà Mozárabes

In the 2000 year born filà MozárabesFormed by a group of friends whose women belonged to the filà Alkamar. Part of the Christian side.

Filà Templaris

It was 1987 when some friends from different associations met with one goal: to be an active part of the Moors and Christians festivities of Dénia on the Christian side. Of the clothing of the filà Templaris highlights the large red Templar cross on a white background of his battle djellaba.

    Who really cares about people dressing up and walking around the streets to the sound of drums for a 40 year old invented tradition!! Some people are easily pleased and of course accompanied by the usual drunks/drug heads!! enjoy
